Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. SUMMARY Operates a feed truck in order to feed cattle using established route pattern to ensure consistent application of established feed rations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 70% Feeds cattle on an established pen route; unloads feed truck contents into the concrete feed bunks according to the Feed Boss' instructions. 20% Loads feed truck with proper feed proportions according to the individual ration requirements. 10% Cleans the feed truck; takes the truck to be serviced by Company mechanics. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to managers and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to operate a 10 wheeler truck.
