Job Requirements / Description
Major duties :
  • Perform all duties in compliance with Customer and Company policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Maintains load hookup and determines safety of load according to written, verbal, or signal instructions. Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism. Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions. May attach load to hook or other crane accessory prior to operating crane and be designated to drive to designated locations as required.
  • Operation of crane controls, such as levers and buttons to regulate speed, control and direction of crane and its load.
  • Installs and removes crane booms, extensions and hook blocks. Positions crane outriggers assemblies and maneuvers in response to hand signals. Installs rigs and removes crane attachments. Performs clamshell, dragline, and hook block operations. Determines safe lifting capacities.
  • The Crane Operator will drive to and from the area office to the customer’s location and back to the area’s office.
  • Maintains accurate work tickets based on the Company’s requirements and the work performed for the customer, hours worked may exceed DOT maximums.
  • Alerts appropriate supervision when mechanical defects are noted.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs, pre-trip / post - trip inspection reports, and all applicable vehicle and DOT documentation.
  • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
Required :
  • Knowledge in crane and rigging for hydraulic cranes up to 160 tons. NCCCO Certification.
  • Applicable Experience
  • CDL with proper endorsements
  • NCCCO Crane Certification
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check
Preferred:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years’ experience a plus

The pay range for this position in California is between $33.00 per hour and $34.00 per hour. Please note that the hourly rate information is a general guideline, and that the hourly rate will vary depending on your location.
