We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Agent to join our team. As a Freight Agent, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the transportation of goods for our clients. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods for clients
2. Negotiate rates with carriers and ensure cost-effective solutions
3. Arrange shipments and schedule pickups and deliveries
4. Track shipments and provide updates to clients
5. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other relevant industry standards
6. Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other documentation
7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations
8. Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the shipping process

Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of logistics sales and supply chain management
2. Proficiency in transportation management software
3. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable rates with carriers
4. Ability to analyze contracts and identify potential risks or opportunities
5. Experience in dispatching and coordinating shipments
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Proven experience as a Freight Agent or similar role in the transportation industry
3. Current Customer Base
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
