This is a highly dynamic and important role with broad responsibilities and multiple priorities that change frequently according to business cycles and initiatives. This role serves multiple internal customers including consultants, sales, marketing, recruiting, and human resources, and requires the ability to effectively work multiple concurrent work streams.SDG’s Managing Director of Delivery is a Servant Leader who leads by example and is committed to the success of others. The Managing Director of Delivery reports to SDG’s President.Responsibilities Responsible for organization, direction, and strategic vision for the Delivery teamProvide guidance, leadership and a positive example for teammatesPlan and deliver practice meetings, and serve as a key member of the Practice Leadership TeamResponsible for monitoring and meeting quarterly KPIs and practice fiscal performancePossess deep knowledge of consultant skills, capabilities, roles served, and goals, while using this information to make educated business decisionsResponsible for consultant development, advocacy, and delivering annual reviewsEffectively problem solves and overcomes obstacles, while easily building trustResponsible for engagement management on some projects, including project role definition, team formation, and project kickoffsProvide resource alignment for each project, while managing ratesOversee policies, procedures, methods and tools for the practice as a wholeResponsible for partnering with recruiting to hire consultants, which includes hiring forecasting, developing candidate profiles, conducting interviews, making hiring decisions, and supporting new hire onboardingBuild and maintain highly effective relationships internally and externally, and make decisions leading by SDG’s core valuesEducate sales team on team’s direction and capabilitiesPartner with sales team by authoring proposals, which includes planning and estimating project timelines, resources, and budgetsSupport our learning and social communitiesSupport digital marketing effortsOther projects as assignedRequirements BS or MS degree in a related field or equivalent experience10+ years of experience in enterprise technology5+ years of consulting experience5+ years of technology leadership experienceHas held a lead role in multiple large-scale projects that were successfully deliveredClosely collaborated with influencers, decision makers, and other stakeholdersBroad knowledge of information technology with an emphasis in application development, project delivery and professional servicesSuccessful track record of sales engineering and business developmentExperience evaluating talent, conducting interviews, and hiringSolid understanding of current market trends in technology and technology deliveryDemonstrated thought leader in practice specializationAbility to think strategically and skillful in planning and developing solutionsGeneral understanding of accounting basics including balance sheetsProven ability to work together with others to resolve complex issuesAble to identify risks, manage customer expectations, and evaluate alternative optionsHighly adept at creating and delivering presentationsWell organized and able to prioritize work based on organizational needsDemonstrates a high level of discretion and confidentialityExceptional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to reliably focus, create and deliver under tight timelinesPossesses a high EQ and exceptional empathyWhat's In It For You?
