Job Title: Forklift PickerJob DescriptionAs a Forklift Picker, you will play a crucial role in stocking, gathering, distributing, assembling orders, and loading various products in the lumberyard to fulfill customer orders for pickup and/or delivery. You will ensure safe and efficient movement of materials using a sit-down forklift, and contribute to maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety.ResponsibilitiesStock, gather, distribute, assemble orders, and load various products of the lumberyard to fulfill customer orders for pickup and/or delivery.Safely move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by sit down forklift.Read customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.Load and unload trucks.Sort and place items on racks according to predetermined sequence.Operate a forklift to move or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to warehouse storage or work area.Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to the shipping department.Drive diesel or gasoline-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.Maintain warehouse cleanliness during the course of work.Perform daily lift inspections.Safely operate equipment.Promptly report all accidents/incidents and damaged products.Perform daily safety audits of forklifts and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment.Keep aisles and exits clear.Essential SkillsForklift operation (1+ year experience).Order selecting (6+ months experience).RF scanner usage.Material handling.Sit down forklift operation.Inventory management.Pallet jack usage.Packing and loading.Attention to detail.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Why Work Here?We offer yearly reviews and full benefits including health, vision, dental, and 401K. You will work independently to pick orders but collaborate with a team of 5-7 other pickers.
