This position functions autonomously and in collaboration with other healthcare providers to manage, support, and coordinate the care of acute and/or critically ill patients.ResponsibilitiesOrientation of new staff to the unit and the development of current staffTeaching didactic classesManaging the CETT Drills (Critical Event Team Training)Collaborating with other educators in the hospitalWorking cohesively with the HRPC Clinical SpecialistReviewing and maintaining unit-based policiesProviding leadership in advancing nursing practices to achieve quality and cost-effective patient outcomesLeading multidisciplinary groups to design and implement innovative solutions addressing system problems and/or patient care issuesProviding clinical teaching, supervision, and directing patient assignments for new and experienced staffWhat you will need:Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable):Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Registered NurseNational certification in clinical specialty required (must be acquired within 1 year of start date)Role certification preferredAHA BLS and/or NRP Instructor Status preferredMinimum Skills, and Abilities Required:Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or related field. (Previous role as educator preferred)Minimum five (5) years of related clinical experienceAbility to utilize evidence to develop, teach, guide, and implement practice standards and policiesDemonstrated ability at the level of an advanced practice nurseAvailable to meet educational needs on all shiftsProficiency with computer applications such as, MS Teams, EMR, Outlook, Excel, etc.Pay rate: $40.99 - $61.49Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
