We are currently looking for a Forklift Operator, responsible for shipping, receiving and material handling of our custom products. In this role, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving inventory in the warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will consolidate equipment and products for shipment and inspect the quality of incoming materials. Our Forklift Operators work in a team environment and must have strong organization and communication skills to ensure needed items meet the shipping schedules. Forklift Operators must be able to operate a forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing plant.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Consolidate equipment/products for shipping and load trucks
- Store, issue, and organize equipment, materials, and other items from the warehouse
- Operate forklifts to move crates and pallets
- Operate radio scanners as part of warehouse management system
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ability to use inventory technology, such as radio scanners
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Communicates well with others; asks for and offers help when needed
- Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work
- Capable of working independently and as a member of a team; contributes to building a positive team spirit
- Observes and follows safety procedures
