Evening Bus Drivers
Westtown School is seeking experienced bus drivers to transport high school students to evening club soccer practice beginning in mid-November. We seek licensed CDL drivers to work part-time evenings, Mondays through Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm, from mid-November through May.
Westtown School is an independent, Quaker co-educational, pre-K to 12 college preparatory day and boarding school located in suburban West Chester, PA, approximately 30 miles from Philadelphia. Essential Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from soccer practice at multiple locations;
• Assist students/passengers with safe loading and unloading of the bus during regular transport and emergencies;
• Ensure prompt pick-up and drop-off of students;
• Ensure all belongings and sports equipment are appropriately stowed, following proper lifting procedures;
• Communicate promptly and effectively with students/passengers, parents, and the school;
• Maintain professional and appropriate relations with all students, parents, and others at all times;
• Maintain vehicle mileage logs and other required documentation;
• Ensure that vehicle interiors are clean and free of debris;
• Monitor students and other passengers during transit to maintain order and discipline and ensure the safety of all passengers;
• Perform first aid as necessary to meet the immediate health care needs of passengers;
• Understand and comply with all safety and vehicle regulations and emergency procedures;
• Ensure that vehicles have adequate fuel for all trips;
• Report all accidents, traffic violations, and safety concerns to the Transportation Manager.

Qualifications

• Bus Drivers must possess a current CDL license
• Must maintain a safe driving record
• Available to work evenings Monday through Thursday during the academic year
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 40 lbs. regularly
• Able to read and interpret maps and utilize navigation systems
