Aerotek's client is looking for a forklift operator to assist at their plant for the night shift in the Crofton, MD area
We are seeking a dedicated forklift operator to move concrete pallets throughout the yard and manage inventory. This role requires working outdoors, handling extreme weather conditions, and performing physical labor.
The position involves operating forklifts (Hyster single lift and Caterpillar double lift) for 70% of the time, with the remaining 30% dedicated to yard maintenance, restacking products, and various labor duties.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating forklifts to position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials.
Hooking tow trucks to trailer hitches and transporting loads to designated areas.
Unloading and stacking materials by raising and lowering lifting devices.
Inventorying materials on the work floor and supplying workers with necessary materials.
Performing routine maintenance, including recharging batteries, lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment.
Shift
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm - 1:30 am, with training on the day shift.
Flexibility to work 60 hours per week and 10-hour days, including some Saturdays, is required.
