About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $3160 To $3511

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Family Birthing Center - Labor and Delivery (L&D)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend, first to float

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum of 2 years

License: Required to submit

Certifications: ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Must-Have:

• Ability to float to Mother/Baby (MB)
• Ability to circulate C-sections
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips on moms in PACU only
• Comfortable in postpartum unit

Job Description:

• High-risk unit requiring floating between Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby
• Must circulate C-sections and manage Pitocin drips
• Engage with preterm labor, bleeding, inductions, cesarean sections, and hypertension patients
• Report bedside; extra shifts available; rotate with staff on holidays
• Supports roughly 100-150 births per month
• Compliance with AWHONN guidelines for nurse-patient ratios
• Use of GE Corometric monitors and Fetalink surveillance systems
• Support from OB surgical techs, with OB hospitalist available 24/7
• Anesthesia in house and Neonatologist on call 24/7
• Charting via Cerner
• Scrubs provided; NRP role sometimes filled by NICU staff or L&D staff depending on availability
• Potential for mid-shift float to another facility, though rare

Note: Hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract, which could encompass a full or partial shift, with potential compensation for such shifts.
