The Spirit of the Position:
The Patient Ride Service Driver position is responsible for the effective, efficient, and safe transportation, loading, and unloading of passengers to and from the assigned destinations, and to ensure that all activities support the safety and welfare of all passengers.
Responsibilities:
What will I do?
- Provide daily transportation for passenger both to and from assigned residential and hospital areas .
- Check in with management daily to ensure you have your ride schedule for the day.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and co-workers throughout the day to stay updated as ride requests come in and be able to accommodate to changes efficiently and quickly.
- Greet all customers by name, take care of their needs, and develop a rapport with each customer that you interact with and exhibit extreme professionalism during your interaction.
- Provide a self-reliant attitude when needed. Must be able to work with or without supervision.
- Promote awesome customer relations. Smile, go above and beyond, make them love LAZ Parking the moment they meet you.

- Professional and Dynamic. You're charismatic, full of energy, and happy to help in any way you can.
- Responsible is your middle name. You never disappoint because it's not in your nature.
- A good driver with a driving record to prove it. You don't speed, you're cautious - ESPECIALLY with other people's property. You can also drive a standard transmission. Vroom, vroom!
- Good under pressure. You don't fold and get overwhelmed easily. Instead, you prefer chaos so you can kick its butt.
- Good at communicating and have the ability to speak, read, and comprehend English easily.
- A team player. You're open to different opinions and can help motivate your team.
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Strong customer service experience.
- Prior driving experience is preferred but not required.
- Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Bi-lingual is a plus!
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license for at least two years.
- Must be able to submit and pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Must have a clean driving record (No moving violations in 3 years and no DUI's, suspended licenses, etc., in the last 5 years.)
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Have basic knowledge of smart phone functions (The system to ride services is through a smart phone mobile device application.)
- Must have Passenger Endorsement F or V
Skills:
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations if necessary.
- Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
- Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
- Ability to drive continuously in the designated vehicle for a minimum of 2-3 hours
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
- Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrists, and arms.
- Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using ankles, knees, and hips.
- Ability to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.
