About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity to support our Restaurant Technology team as a Technical Delivery Manager - POS based in Miami, FL. The Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for the development, project leadership, quality, and timely delivery of the project using waterfall and agile delivery methods. This role will collaborate with team leaders and project stakeholders to mitigate risks/issues, plan/track project tasks and dependencies, provide clear status, and ensure smooth delivery of our global agenda.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Plan, prioritize, mitigate project risk and manage simultaneously complex projects to ensure successful on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery.
  2. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure they have the skills and support needed.
  3. Work closely with business and technical leads to align to project scope or product vision and roadmap.
  4. Create and manage a dynamic project plan, tracking critical tasks, governance, and high-level milestones.
  5. Lead project release plans and set expectations for delivery with stakeholders.
  6. Responsible for overall project success, business objectives, project budget, and ROI targets.
  7. Lead the project team ensuring clarity on vision and direction.
  8. Provide regular guidance to the project and/or delivery team to ensure tasks are successfully delivered.
  9. Manage resource allocations and track actual hours submitted via SmartSheets.
  10. Work closely with internal and external customers to gather business requirements and define software functionality.
  11. Provide regular high-level updates to leadership detailing status, timelines, dependencies, and risks.
  12. Manage, track, and coordinate project documentation and monitoring dashboards.
  13. Validate all requirements and stories meet acceptance criteria.
  14. Facilitate operational checkpoint activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Info Systems, Business, or related experience.
  2. PMP Certified Required.
  3. SAFe Agile or comparable SCRUM Certification Desirable.
  4. 5 years experience managing delivery of software projects/products.
  5. 5 years experience leading software development teams.
  6. Proven experience in project management of complex, interconnected projects in waterfall and SAFe Agile environments.
  7. Strong technical background and significant experience in managing software development lifecycles.
  8. Business knowledge of POS technology in the restaurant or retail industry.
  9. Proficient with Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and ALM tools like Azure Dev Ops or Jira.
  10. Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  11. Ability to work and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Expert in Resource Planning, Forecasting, and Budget Management.
  13. Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions.
  14. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  15. Excellent organizational skills with an understanding of project management concepts.
