Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Dickinson, ND

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years
**License:** Must be licensed to submit
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NRP
**Must-Have:** Experience in L&D with competency in titrating drips
**Job Description:**
- Work in a unit with 4 labor and delivery beds and 7 postpartum beds.
- Follow AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios: Labor (1:1-2) and Postpartum (1:2-3).
- Handle common diagnoses and patient types, including labor for pregnancies >35 weeks and mom/baby couplets.
- Required to titrate antepartum and labor drips, including Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, and Zofran. Postpartum medications include prenatal vitamins, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Percocet, and Toradol.
- Charge Nurse available on each shift and may also take patient assignments.
- RNs will troubleshoot neonatal ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow equipment.
- Utilize OB Trace Vue for electronic fetal monitoring.
- Participate in shifts from 7 am to 7 pm, with block scheduling offered.
- Work one weekend every three weeks, with holiday work dependent on availability.
- Must be willing to float to support other departments, primarily by providing 1:1 patient sitting.
- Scrubs are provided.
- Complete three 12-hour shifts for unit/department-specific orientation.
- Operate in a rural hospital setting with limited services, requiring teamwork, provider consistency, knowledge, independence, and strong communication skills for success.
- Assist in C-sections by circulating for the baby, with surgery managing the procedure.
- Be aware of the requirement for upfront submission of time off, limited to 7 days per 13-week contract, with no additional requests accommodated post-submission.
