We have an enticing Maintenance Excavator Specialist position awaiting you at the iconic KCGM Superpit that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed Open Pits Mobile Maintenance team on the convenience of a 5:2, 4:3 10 hr day residential roster.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Providing diagnostic and maintenance support to the Excavator and Shovel fleet, providing technical support to contractors within the open pits mining department.
- Continuingly monitor machine health systems and create proactive maintenance intervention tasks.
- Engaging with suppliers to ensure best practice remanufacture of components.
- Applying root cause analysis methodology to early component failures.
- Supporting planning team in ongoing strategy reviews.
- Providing OEM technical teams with machine health feedback.
- Updating and developing relevant documentation for mining fleets.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Qualifications:
- Trade Certificate and/or Degree in Engineering.
Desired Experience & Competencies:
- Minimum 10 years relevant mining experience in a maintenance environment.
- Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all Work Management tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt to improved Asset Management procedures and practices.
- Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
- Exposure to Komatsu and Liebherr mining excavators will be advantageous.
