POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a vehicle and to transport customers' goods to/from the vehicle. Driver manages and assists the moving crew in packing, wrapping, inventory and transport of customer's possessions where necessary. Represents the company in a professional manner while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Reports To: Operations Manager
REQUIREMENTS
  • 21 years of age
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Crew Lead
  • Clean driving record with a Driver's License
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 100lbs unassisted
  • Ability to produce the required tonnage per hour dependent on job factors.
  • Adhere to and follow ALL company 'Safety' practices, policies, and procedures
  • Time Management & Organizational Skills are a Must
  • Technology savvy and adaptable to new programs and processes
  • Ability to read, write, basic math skills to understand, and follow all written and verbal directions/documents
  • Ability to follow directions and exercise sound judgment and decision-making
  • Pass all Company Pre-Employment Checks

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Including but not limited to the following:
  • Drive the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for the legal operation of the vehicle.
  • Responsible for locking, parking as well as cleaning the vehicle.
  • Carry out daily checks on vehicles - oil, water, lights, fluids, and tires.
  • Report on any accident to the vehicle or its load.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Follows schedules, work, and shipping orders
  • Ensure adequate packing materials/equipment are on the vehicle.
  • Plan jobs accordingly to make necessary adjustments if needed.
  • Ability to think outside the box to achieve maximum results.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage and execute the loading, transportation, and delivery of customer goods in accordance with our standards and procedures
  • Ability to run the job without supervision.
  • Train and assist new employees when needed.
  • Ensure paperwork for each move is complete and returned to the appropriate member of staff.
  • Collect payment if/when required and hand it to the office or night warehouseman.
  • Notify and communicate with the appropriate member of staff should any problems occur.
  • Display professional conduct, courtesy, and manners when entering and performing work in customers' homes or business
  • Respectful of customers' property and personal space.
  • Work in accordance with training received and relevant procedures.

  • Any other duties as may be requested by the Company

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, talk, move about, hear, and speak. They may be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions. Noise levels may be high when operating power equipment. Employees may be exposed to outside weather conditions when transporting materials. The employee must be able to frequently lift up to 100 pounds and ask for assistance in lifting items that are bulky or excessively heavy or appear to be beyond the employee's capability. The employee is required to properly use such safety equipment as appropriate to the work to prevent injury to themselves or others.

  • Salary: Hourly/Non-Exempt; $21.75 per hour
