Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a sit-down Toyota propane forklift with a clutch brake to transport both unfinished and finished materials. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trailers, using RF scanners, and handling bundles of cardboard for printing. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment and getting acclimated to the machinery speed. You will load and stage bundles, wrap and unwrap materials, and bring bundles to and from machinery to docks.
Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down Toyota propane forklift with a clutch brake.
Transport unfinished and finished materials within the facility.
Load and unload trailers using RF scanners.
Use touch screen computers on forklifts to locate products.
Load bundles of cardboard onto lines for printing.
Remove plastic wrapping and paper inserts from bundles.
Stage and load/unload trucks.
Prepare for occasional non-forklift duties such as wrapping and unwrapping materials.
Essential Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience operating a sit-down propane forklift.
Experience with clutch brake operation on forklifts.
Comfortable handling bundles of cardboard and products without skids or pallets.
Material handling experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a corrugated environment.
Experience working in highly automated environments.

Work Environment
The plant is medium-sized, very organized, and highly automated. There are about 30 workers on the plant side, and the focus is on quality rather than speed, creating a laid-back work environment. Candidates are required to wear steel toe boots. The role involves working the 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10 PM, with initial training on the 1st shift for two weeks.
