Lead Forklift Operator

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The Lead Forklift Operator will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of forklifts within the warehouse, training, and supervising forklift operators, and ensuring that all material handling tasks are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent knowledge of forklift operations, and a commitment to safety and productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of forklift operators, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
• Train new forklift operators on proper equipment use, safety practices, and warehouse procedures.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the warehouse manager.
• Assist with inventory control and management, including counting and recording inventory levels.
• Ensure accurate and timely movement and storage of materials within the warehouse.
• Enforce all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Coordinate daily workflow and task assignments for forklift operators to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Monitor and manage the flow of materials and products through the warehouse to ensure timely and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling, and inventory management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with RF equipment.
