Assistant Nurse Manager – Labor & Delivery

- Weekends required – 7pm – 7am
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for our L&D unit. The successful candidate will manage unit activities, monitor quality, service, and utilization standards, and supervise day-to-day shift activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager has RNs reporting directly; guides the team through a specific shift in Maternal Child Health department, L&D, post-partum, Level II NICU. Assists with annual review, grievances, responds to patients and family concerns, main liaison with MD team, works with hospital admit team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as Lead, Charge, or Assistant Manager/Supervisor.
- Must have current California RN license.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required.
- ACLS certification strongly preferred.
- Must have BSN degree or higher.
- Experience in a union hospital environment preferred.
Compensation:
Salary: Competitive compensation of $186,000 - $267,200.
