Slickback Driver

Wilbanks is hiring Class A CDL Flatbed/Step-deck truck operators. Must have a clean driving record, 3 years CDL driving experience, and be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen.
Job Duties:

• Maintain a valid CDL and if cited or ticketed; advise company Safety Department for processing and Operations Department for either civil or criminal ticket.
• Drive Slickback Truck with "Wide Loads" in a professional manner and obey all traffic laws at all times.
• Daily, complete and turn in Work Tickets, Logs, Inspection Reports and Repair Needs Slip when needed.
• Perform daily Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections and required reports on truck, trailer and all operating equipment.
• Properly secure loads.
• Identify oversize loads with appropriate signs and flags.
• Capable of identifying loads that need Load Assist.
• Assist in the directing the loading and unloading of truck and accept final responsibility for the load position and tie down.
• Assist others with loading an unloading, when time allows.
• Ensure all customer names, job site and other required information is acquired and entered on Company paperwork.
• Perform daily maintenance and inspections of trucks, trailers and equipment.
• Work as a Team
• Subject to Company needs, Slickback Drivers are required to work overtime, after hours and weekends.
• Follow Company Safety Policies and Procedures at all times.
• Communicate fully and effectively with Dispatchers and Drivers.
• Advise Safety Department off all near misses and / or incidents.
• Lift 100 pounds.
• Understand and follow map and verbal directions in English.
• Perform all other duties as assigned from time to time by supervisors.
