As a Driver I, you will play a key role in ensuring that the Mission's Distribution Center Gift in Kind inventory is distributed on a timely basis to the various Mission departments and secondarily to other area churches and non-profits. Key responsibilities include picking-up and delivering incoming donations and outgoing orders. At any given time, you might work independently, or with other drivers, guests in program, the Mission's procurement individual, and/or Distribution Center staff.
Pay Range: $17.19 - $22.35 Hourly
The above pay range is a guideline. For candidates who meet the qualifications of the job, the Mission's Compensation Philosophy is to target the middle of the range. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final pay rate to be offered. Factors include (but are not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training as well as internal equity, market and other business considerations.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment. Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds and walks, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within the company. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

How you will serve
- Have a working understanding of UGM departments
- Have a working knowledge of acceptable donations.
- Able to safely, accurately and efficiently pick up and deliver orders as scheduled.
- Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Able to maintain UGM vehicles and complete daily safety checks.
- Able to pass Mission driver certification process.
- Attend, and participate in all Mission, Division, and Department meetings and training, as required.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Him.
- Faithfully upholds The Mission and your team in prayer.
- Participates in team devotions as schedule permits.
- Demonstrates behavior aligned with the Mission's Statement of Faith, Standard of Conduct, policies, and expectations.
- Effectively represents Jesus Christ to a diverse audience, including our Mission teams, our volunteers, guests and homeless neighbors.
- Acknowledge and sign the Mission's Statement of Faith (see below)
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year working in a social services environment preferred.
- Microsoft Office Skills required
- Posess a valid Washington State Driver's License and be able to meet the standards of the Mission driver criteria, including but not limited to:
- Clean driving record.
- No current suspensions or revocations.
- At least 21 years of age.
