New Service Delivery Electrical Engineer III IVLocation: Silver City, NM, United StatesJob ID: 6087382Date Posted:Nov 5, 2024POSTING DEADLINEPosted until filledDEPARTMENTDepartment: Distribution Engineering - SouthernPREFERENCESPosition is responsible for engineering design of PNM's new service delivery projects in residential/commercial/subdivisions for the greater Deming, NM area and requires customer centric deliverables to our customers as well as our internal departments..JOB DESCRIPTIONEngineer IIISalary: BOESUMMARY:Under general supervision plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates the engineering work for a total project of moderate scope or for detailed phases of part of a major project.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages all the engineering aspects of projects of moderate scope or detailed phases of major project effortsLeads or conducts performance, cost, and scheduling studies of varying size that are generally conventional in natureSupports operational areas through the application of standard and non-standard engineering techniques, practices, and proceduresCommunicates engineering ideas, recommendations, and evaluations to diverse internal groups in a working or conference type environmentRepresents the company's interests in engineering matters that may be varied and complex in natureInteracts with and provides broad knowledge technical support to other associatesApplies engineering expertise to improve or develop new standardsProvides technical direction and/or activity supervision to contractors and company personnel on a regular, on-going basisCOMPETENCIES:Broad knowledge and proven ability to apply engineering principles, practices and regulations to, and perform economic and decision analysis studies of issues in areas including, but not limited to, generation, transmission, distribution, system planning, financial and regulatory issues, asset utilization, and environmental controls and regulationsAbility to read, interpret and apply national, state and local codes and standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NESC, ACI, AISC, ASME, NACE, etc.)Ability to translate electrical theory and physics to utility application for improving system reliabilityAbility to make informed repair decisions following company protocolsComfortable working in and around high voltage (up to 345kV) electrical facilities and equipmentAbility to forecast budgetsDemonstrated leadership skills, self-motivation, and interpersonal skillsQUALIFICATIONSMINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a college/university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc.
