Jacko Logistics is seeking a dedicated and experience Driver Manager to join our team in Vancouver, WA. We are looking for someone who is an expert problem solver, has amazing communication skills, and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure our drivers are feeling supported while out on the road. You will be responsible for managing a group of truck drivers through fielding phone calls and working to solve a wide range of problems that may arise. We are a fast pace company, growing at a rapid pace, we need someone who is eager to join a team of motivated individuals who strive for the best!
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of drivers, including scheduling, performance management, and providing support and guidance as needed
- Dispatch drivers and assign routes in a timely and efficient manner
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries
- Address driver concerns and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation operations
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and ready for dispatch
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements in fleet management
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the trucking or transportation industry
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with drivers, clients, and internal teams
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in fleet management software and dispatching systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred
