Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of delivery items and ensure all materials are accounted for and in good condition.
- Responsible for accuracy of loads and must get all loads verified by yard manager for accuracy prior to leaving yard.
- Safely drive trucks and forklifts obeying all traffic laws, wear seatbelt at all times while driving a company truck or forklift.
- Follow all yard loading and delivery, and yard security.
- When not driving, assist with loading materials in the yard and helping customers with their product needs.
- Capable of navigating digital platforms to include uploading pictures, E-Logs, Online platforms as directed.
- Listen and work with customers to solve customer problems.
- Ability to follow all CDL requirements as outlined by the DOT.
- Ability to haul oversized loads.
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to learn and understand the products sold and assist customers with product-related inquiries.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and in all weather conditions.
