Key Details

• Travel Rate:  Available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/16/2024.
• Experience Required:  Minimum of 2 years, with the unit accepting first-time travelers.
• Certifications Required:  AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP & STABLE.
• Shift:  12-hour nights, 18:45 - 07:15, with 48 hours offered and no overtime billed until after 48 hours.
• Contract Duration:  13 weeks up to March 15, 2025.
• Weekend Requirement:  4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks.
• Call Requirement:  None.
• Float Requirement:  None.

• Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, High Risk Antepartum, Level 1 Nursery, LDRP, and Mother/Baby care.
• Fetal Monitoring and IV Therapy/Phlebotomy skills.
• Medication Administration including Anticonvulsants and Magnesium Sulfate therapy.
• Labor & Delivery Management and Neonatal Care in Delivery Room skills.
• Newborn Care, Pain Management, and Postpartum Care skills.
• Professional Topics including Isolation precautions/PPE and Vaccine Administration.

• Experience with facilities having <100 births/month.

Our unit is an 8-bed LDRP with 7 overflow beds to accommodate postpartum patients, totaling 15 rooms. We aim to provide care for low-risk maternal and neonatal populations, with an expected increase in births starting January 2025. RNs must be comfortable serving in various roles including labor and delivery nurse, baby nurse, baby stabilization, C/S circulator, C/S PACU recovery RN, and care for the postpartum and neonatal population.

• Standard equipment found in most LDRP units and C/S ORs.
• Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR.

• 36-hour unit orientation.
• Scheduling is self-managed but balanced according to unit needs.
