Position: Associate Nurse Manager

Dept: Labor & Delivery

Primary Purpose: Responsible for assisting in the daily management of unit activities including staff supervision and development, planning, budget, quality and facility operations and coordinating patient services to ensure high quality patient care and optimal outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ASN or BSN Degree from an accredited Professional School of Nursing (If ASN Degree, must obtain a BSN within three years of placement in job)
• Current/Valid RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact RN license in good standing without stipulations.
• Three (3) years of direct professional registered nursing in Labor & Delivery experience within the last three (3) years.
• Leadership experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred.

Current License/Registrations:

• Current/Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification card at time of hire and the ability to maintain thereafter from one of the following: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network.
• Current/Valid Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification card at time of hire and the ability to maintain thereafter from one of the following: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network.
• Current/Valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from one of the following: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network -OR - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certification at time of hire.
• Current/Valid Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Training at time of hire.
