$28-31/hour DOE
Position Purpose:
Shuttle Drivers play a vital role in transporting trailers for food and food service delivery. They ensure safe and timely transportation of trailers, while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all required safety checks and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
- Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualification:
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
- Valid CDL A
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
- Pass pre-employment drug test and road test
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight
