Meyer is a growing, family-owned and operated company where you are more than an employee number, you're family! This CDL Local Driver position transports different types of goods from Warehouse to Warehouse.
Schedule for CDL class A Local Driver:

• Up to $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Monday - Friday
• 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (End time is consistent most days; but may vary based on workload, coverage and business needs)
• Overtime available!
• Local Backhaul, trailer spotter, yard jockey
• Moving trailers around locally and picking up backhauls
• Local / Home Daily!
• Based in Jasper, IN

CDL class A Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Load and unload trailers using a forklift with occasional lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying freight
• Transport and deliver freight within the company to different locations/regions in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner
• Hook and unhook trailers; secure freight; install and remove tire chains as required by weather
• Operate drive a Forklift
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
• Communicating with local warehouses to deliver loads where it needs to go
• Represent the Company and the trucking industry in a professional manner

Requirements for CDL class A Driver:

• One-year of CDL experience driving a tractor trailer over 26,000 lbs.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License, No Restrictions.
• Knowledge of all applicable DOT Regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc.) required by the DOT and pass required drug/alcohol test.
• Acceptable background investigation results.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
