**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery, Postpartum
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Rotating/3x12s
**Guaranteed Hours:** 24
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year clinical experience required
**License:** Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state or from a valid compact state required
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
**Must-Have:**
- Ability to obtain necessary computer skills within 90 days
- Proficiency in the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking
- Minimum of an Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018
- Compliance with HIPAA requirements
- COVID vaccination required
**Job Description:**
- Responsible for caring for antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum
- Provide lactation education and assistance, focusing on family-centered care, including care for well newborns and Level 2 Nursery
- Assure expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care for patients and families
- Collaborate with providers, staff, and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction
- Triage incoming patient requests for services
- Deliver patient education to promote informed healthcare choices and optimal wellness
- Delegate care appropriately in accordance with state regulations
- Demonstrate competent healthcare assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
- Manage high telephone volume of patient requests for medications, information, and assistance
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures adhering to patient safety guidelines
- Coordinate patient care with other practices and facilities to achieve high levels of satisfaction
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Use Relationship-Based Care to advocate for patient safety, preferences, and communication
- Role model principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values
- Perform other duties as assigned
