Position Summary: To safely transport goods and materials as required to meet delivery deadlines. Use a forklift or overhead crane to load and unload goods from our trailers. If a vendor loads or unloads material from our trailers, you will need to supervise or assist them. Ensure that the truck and trailer are well maintained, and they meet all DOT requirements. The driver is required to schedule all repairs and maintenance on the tractor and trailer.
Work with the team members within the department to coordinate the movement of materials to and from our trailers. Using a dedicated part numbering system, deliver and unload materials from company vehicles and place safely and accurately on the loading docks, pallet racking, and inventory racks. Collaborate with various production departments daily to determine material needs and deliver as necessary.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Unload materials to and from company vehicles and safely move to and from appropriate storage racks.
- Ensure materials are accurately placed on the storage racks by demonstrating strong knowledge of the racking and part numbering system.
- Collaborate with various production departments daily to confirm their material needs. Pull the necessary materials from inventory in preparation for delivery to the departments.
- Utilizing dedicated company vehicles, drive to various suppliers and customers to pick up and deliver materials.
- Maintain DOT E-log book when driving and IVDR forms at the end of the driving day
- Maintain service schedule on company vehicles and work with suppliers to ensure maintenance on the vehicles is performed as necessary.
- Always maintain professionalism, especially when communicating with customers and suppliers.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and work in a manner so as not to create a health and safety hazard to oneself and coworkers.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Knowledge of workplace safety; including safe lifting procedures.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to measure and perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
- Must be able to successfully pass a driving record background check.
- Must be able to successfully pass a D.O.T test and obtain a Class A CDL license with airbrakes.
- Forklift license required. (We provide the test.)
- May be rotated to other positions within and outside of home department to meet production needs.
- Able to operate Tractor & Trailer, Man Lift, Forklift, and Overhead Crane
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
- Required to occasionally stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to up to 70 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Safety glasses are always required on the production floor.
- Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
