Driver description:
Hours are usually 7:30-4 (flexibility is required)
Sometimes responsibilities will end include being on the road later than that, possibly as late as 6 or 7 depending on how busy the route is, traffic, unforeseen delays at dispensaries etc. The drivers are the face of our company and the final step of contact with our customers. It's important for them to be personable and professional to keep positive relations with dispensaries so that they want to continue to do business with us. They are also the last line of defense when things go wrong with orders. They must be able to think on their feet and have customer service and problem solving skills to resolve issues that may arise while doing deliveries.
A driver's tasks include:
-Following all state mandated regulations to ensure compliance and safety
-Pre-trip inspection of vehicles, making sure vans are in working order and gassed up
-Handling and tracking petty cash for fuel and other expenses while on the road
-Confirming delivery manifest information is correct and confirming they are loading all orders and bins that they are assigned for the day.
-Loading and unloading shipping bins onto and off of vans
-Delivering orders in a prompt and professional manner while keeping dispensaries informed of any delays or changes in schedule
-Maintaining open lines of communication with Logistics Managers and Sales team to resolve issues and provide updates on delivery and departure times
-Maintaining consistent and up-to-date delivery logs
-Keeping track of all paperwork and verifying orders with the dispensary agents as they are delivered
-Returning signed paperwork and checklists at the end of the day
-Maintaining the vehicles i.e. keeping them clean inside and out, keeping fuel in the tanks, taking them for routine oil changes and regular maintenance
-Setting and disarming alarms when coming or going into empty buildings before or after shift
-When not on the road, drivers will be expected to assist in other departments with an all hands on deck mentality.
Requirements-
-Having and maintaining a clean driving record (past 5 years) and maintaining safety at all times while on the road.
-1 year of customer service experience
-Available to work flexible hours, when required
