Position: Senior POS Delivery Manager


Job Summary:


We are looking for an experienced Senior POS Delivery Manager to lead and oversee the implementation, enhancement, and support of Point of Sale (POS) systems across our retail operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in POS system delivery, project management, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance high-level planning with hands-on project execution, ensuring that POS solutions meet the needs of the business and align with our technology and customer service goals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • POS Implementation & Delivery: Lead the deployment and integration of POS solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and overseeing the delivery of end-to-end POS projects.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams—including IT, Operations, and Retail—to understand business needs, gather requirements, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Collaborate with POS vendors, consultants, and technology partners to deliver solutions on time and within budget, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
  • System Optimization & Upgrades: Identify opportunities to enhance POS systems and implement upgrades to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Project Planning & Budgeting: Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines, and monitor progress to ensure milestones are met. Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Training & Support: Oversee the development of training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of new POS features and functionalities.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure that POS systems adhere to organizational and regulatory standards, including PCI compliance and data security requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish KPIs to monitor POS performance, generating reports and insights to drive continuous improvement and support decision-making.


Required Qualifications:


  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in POS delivery and project management within a retail or multi-location environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of POS systems (e.g., Oracle, NCR, Shopify, or others), integrations with ERP systems, and retail technology infrastructure. POS experience, Java Swing, ALM, Optimization and automation mindset(very manual process), Financial acumen will be helpful as integration with financial systems is an important component.
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in leading large-scale POS deployments, with a track record of successful delivery across multiple locations.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage vendor relationships.
  • Certifications: Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar) preferred; experience in retail or customer-facing technology is highly valued.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Industry Knowledge: Background in retail, hospitality, or similar customer-centric environments is a plus.
  • Methodologies: Proficiency with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies for project delivery.
  • Languages: (Specify language requirements if applicable, e.g., proficiency in Spanish is a plus.)
