Position Summary
A dependable and detail oriented person is needed to be a part of our Driver/Warehouse team at GO2 Delivery. The ideal candidate is a team player who has a positive attitude, enjoys interacting with people, and can easily adapt to a changing environment. This person is responsible to drive a company vehicle and pick up packages to be sorted at our central distribution facility. This person interacts directly with our customers and our contract couriers. This person will also perform warehouse activities, such as receiving, inbounding, cycle counts, and ship outs.
The schedule for this position would be Monday - Friday. The shifts would rotate on a bi-weekly cycle of: Week 1 - Monday-Wednesday 9:00-4:30 and Thursday-Friday 9:00am-12:00pm, and Week 2 - Monday-Wednesday 9:00-12:00pm and Thursday-Friday 9:00-4:30pm. Some weeks may requre full time hours. The pickups are at two locations, so the majority of the shift is spent loading/unloading, sorting and on warehouse activities.
Responsibilities
Drive company vehicles between client sites and main office.
Pick up and load packages from client’s site for delivery to main office.
Ensure proper chain of custody by scanning all packages in and out.
Sort packages by zip code per driver and distribute accordingly.
Ensure couriers follow proper scanning procedures and that all pickups are accurately accounted for.
Perform both cycle and physical inventory counts.
Operate multiple types of warehouse equipment (lift, walker/stacker, ladder, pallet jack).
Receives merchandise and ensures all parts are placed in designated location by client required times.
Maintain orderly storage of materials or products.
Ensure assigned primary inventory locations are accurate.
Pull parts and process labels for shipping. At times this will involve palletizing and wrapping product.
Process cross dock in-bounding, prepare manifest and stage product by delivery destination.
Communicate with clients via emails and calls daily/respond with status and or time of completion.
Manage emails for client specific directives.
Effectively communicate with customers on multiple levels.
Operate computer terminal to input, manipulate, organize and retrieve data.
Use proprietary software to service clients.
Ensures all client requests are completed promptly
Maintain inventory accuracy
Follows established safe work methods, procedures and safety precautions while performing all duties.
Competencies
Must be a safe driver with previous experience operating a panel or box truck.
Must be comfortable interacting with customers and vendors in person and over the phone.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Familiarity with keyboard required, 10 key calculators, Microsoft Office Suite.
Required education and experience
Must be at least 23 years of age (insurance purposes)
Must be able to as pass a background check and motor vehicle record check.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. (CDL Not required)
Must have one year of verifiable driving experience within the previous three years in the type of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) the driver will be assigned to (High Top Sprinter Type, Cutaways, or 20 ft. box trucks)
OR Evidence of six months of verifiable driving experience within the previous three years in the type of CMV the driver will be assigned to operate, and successful completion of a qualified driver training course.
Must have two years’ experience in a warehouse environment, handling inbounding and preparing shipments.
