Role and Responsibilities:
Are you a dependable and friendly driver looking to make a difference? Join our team as a Meals on Wheels Driver ! In this role, you'll be the key link between our kitchen and our valued customers, ensuring timely and safe delivery of meals.
- Safely transport meals and materials to designated sites.
- Verify and load meals and containers onto the van.
- Deliver meals to various locations and assist with bringing food inside as needed.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and pick up returned items.
- Maintain and clean food containers and the delivery van.
- Perform pre-drive safety checks and log meal temperatures.
- Support kitchen staff and handle any complaints with professionalism.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
- Experience as a delivery driver is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lift heavy items.
Physical Demands:
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, gran and lift up to (25) lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.
