Box Truck Driver

Hours: Full-time Position, shift begins at 5:45am, occasional overtime and/or weekend hours will be required based on operational needs
Location: CANTON, GA
Summary: Summit Stairs & Millwork Inc. is hiring box truck drivers responsible for safe and efficient transportation of stairs and millwork products to customers in a manner that meets customer requirements. This position reports directly to the Shipping Manager.
Salary/Benefits: Starting $17-20/hour, commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include health & dental insurance, paid holidays and paid time off.
Responsibilities:

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and properly document all vehicle maintenance problems and defects in writing.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation standards and regulations and maintain flawless driving record.
• Keep up with all gas receipts for monthly audits.
• Load and unload products from the truck and verify contents against work order and Shipping Ticket, which include verifying count and condition on goods unloaded; and accurate report all overages, shortages, and breakage/damage.
• Email pictures of products for proof of delivery.
• Build and ensure excellent customer service by consistently delivering orders on time and in good condition and by acting in a courteous and professional manner.
• Report customer needs and concerns to Shipping Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current valid driver's license and MVR Report required
• Regular & reliable attendance required
• Must be able to drive up to a 20ft box truck
• Must be able to operate hand trucks, stairs, ramps, and docks & handle a pallet jack
• Must be able to move items <50 lbs.
• Able to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to judge distance.
• Must have cellular phone for GPS and for emailing pictures of products delivered for proof of delivery.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
