Role Description
As a NEX Delivery Driver, you’ll be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient product deliveries within our local area and across the state. You’ll cultivate strong relationships with our vendors and customers while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate is a reliable, customer-oriented professional with experience operating large vehicles (Sprinter Vans) and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Reliable Delivery: Ensure timely and secure delivery of time-sensitive packages to local retailers and facilities.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Package Handling: Carefully load, unload, and transport products, safeguarding their integrity throughout the delivery process.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork.
- Problem-Solving: Address delivery issues promptly and efficiently, utilizing strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with order support teams, ensuring smooth delivery operations.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, including addressing inquiries and gathering feedback.
- Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador, promoting NEX and its products.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including DOT and NY Department of Cannabis Control regulations.
- Security Protocols: Prioritize security by following strict company security protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.
- Time Management: Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Driving Proficiency: Valid NY driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stretch, and twist.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
- Customer Service: Proven track record in customer service, sales, or account management.
- Driving Experience: 2+ years of occupational driving experience.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.
