Truck Driver Duties:
Safely operate company trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
Verify load accuracy, secure cargo, and ensure compliance with weight regulations.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Ensure all delivery documents are completed accurately and submitted promptly.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including handling any delivery issues or discrepancies.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class E Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a shipping clerk, truck driver, or similar role.
Knowledge of shipping procedures, transportation regulations, and inventory management.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Description
Production Castings is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk / Truck Driver to join our team. This dual role involves coordinating shipping and receiving activities, preparing shipments, and delivering and moving products in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a valid Class E driver's license, and experience in both warehouse operations and truck driving.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Clerk Duties:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to load and unload shipments.
- Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
