Requirements

• Efficiently and effectively assist residents to physician appointments, outings, scheduled and non-scheduled activity trips.
• Assist residents moving into and out of the van/bus; transfer between wheelchair, standing, and seating as appropriate.
• Operate the van/bus wheelchair lift and assist with all functions of the lift.
• Ensure all safety requirements have been fulfilled prior to leaving on trip (seatbelts, clear aisles, wheelchairs secured, etc).
• Keep all necessary mileage logs and safety check documentation in proper order.
• Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of van/bus.
• Report any safety or mechanical issues to the Director of Maintenance or Executive Director immediately.
• May be responsible for routine maintenance of van/bus, such as oil changes and tire rotation.
