Propane Transport Driver

Job Summary: The Propane Transport Driver is responsible for driving a tanker truck to pick up propane at supply points and deliver it to AmeriGas facilities. This involves making multiple pick-ups and deliveries, driving an average of 500 miles per day, and working up to 14 hours per day. About 80% of the time is spent driving or waiting in line at the supply point.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transport propane from supply points to AmeriGas facilities
• Perform daily truck inspections
• Potentially climb ladders at AmeriGas facilities to check tank gauges

Education and Experience Required:

• 3 years of tractor and trailer experience
• 1 year of tanker experience within the last 3 years (preferred)
• Hazmat and tanker endorsement
• Eligibility for a TWIC card
• No accidents in the previous 3 years
• No more than one moving violation in the previous 2 years

Compensation: Hourly rate ranges from $23.10 to $24.10. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses or commissions. Comprehensive benefits are also offered such as medical, dental, vision, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
