Fixed Route Driver

Job Title : Dauphin Fixed Route Driver (CDL Required) - Part-Time

Location : Vehicle Pick-Up/Drop-Off at 901 N. Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA

Compensation :

• Starting Pay: $27.75 per hour
• Pay increase to $29.29 per hour after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period
• Bi-weekly paycheck
• Excellent benefits package included
• Home nightly!

Pay rates and increases are determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Position Overview :
Looking for a part-time role with a purpose? As a Fixed Route Driver with rabbittransit, you'll do more than just drive-you'll help passengers access essential services and improve their mobility. Join our team and contribute to your community by providing reliable and safe transportation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Safely transport passengers along pre-determined routes with professionalism and courtesy
• Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of each shift
• Maintain accurate trip records and fare logs
• Assist passengers with mobility devices, including wheelchairs
• Handle fare collection and account for payments
• Communicate with dispatch using radio systems and follow safety protocols
• Respond to emergency situations following established procedures
• Other duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Site Manager

Qualifications :

• CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement (P) and Air Brake Restriction Lifted (No "L", "Z", or "N" restrictions)
  (If you do not have these qualifications, consider applying for our Non-CDL Driver position.)
• Availability : Open to work during any of the following service hours:
  • Monday - Saturday : 3:00 AM - 11:30 PM
    Your shifts will fall within these hours based on operational needs.
