Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour (non-exempt)
St. Vincent Villa Residential Treatment Center is seeking a PRN-Driver Responsible for providing daily and/or special event transportation for the program residents. The Driver will ensure proper vehicle care and maintenance to meet the needs of the program and the safety of their passengers. The work schedule is on call as needed usually Friday and Saturday availability is required.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Transports participants to and from the facility daily as requested.
•Obtains routing information from designated staff member and reports related problems immediately following the trip.
•Provides help required to safely board and disembark passengers and always maintains security for passengers, by using the wheelchair locks, safety belts and other measures defined in the program's policies and procedures.
•Observes passengers for changes in functioning and reports observations to designated staff member immediately following the trip.
•Inspects the vehicle to ensure that no personal items are left behind.
•Conducts full inspection of vehicle to identify damage, safety concerns, and fuel levels prior to each use, report any concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
•Reports suspected mechanical problems following established procedures.
•Maintains required Vehicle Binder and Mileage Logs.
•Immediately reports traffic accidents to supervisor, requesting police or ambulance service as needed.
•Assure proper Workplace Safety guidelines including, but not limited to, Infectious Disease Control.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Certification/Licensure:
•Certified in First Aid/CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) within 30 days from hire.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
•Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
•Excellent communication skills including active listening.
•Maintains a safe environment for patients and co-workers.
•Comfortable in an environment in which patients/clients cannot perform basic life duties.
•Ability to relate and care for a variety of personalities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
•Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
•Driving (Agency and/or personal vehicle) is required for this position. Driver must be at least 21 years of
age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver's license issued by the state of
residence. There can be no state-issued restrictions on the licenses that would impede driver's ability to
operate the vehicle as required by the Agency, and there must not be more than three (3) points on their
driving record.
