Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Santa Cruz, CA

**Job Title:** Interim Manager
**Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D), Mother-Baby (MB), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour days with varied start times of 8:30 AM or 12:30 PM, call included, every other weekend, first to float
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years
**License:** Required to submit
**Certifications:** BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
**Must-Have:**
- Ability to circulate and recover C-sections
- Experience with high-risk patient populations, including high BMI, HTN, hemorrhage, and preeclampsia
- Proficiency in reading fetal monitoring strips
- Experience in titrating drips such as insulin
- Leadership skills for handling the charge nurse or house supervisor duties
**Job Description:**
- Oversee the management of the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby units.
- Supervise and support RN staff in delivering high-quality patient care according to AWHONN guidelines.
- Ensure operational readiness for C-sections with available OR suite.
- Manage patient flow from triage to postpartum with designated beds and overflow capacity.
- Facilitate collaboration among OB/CNM in-house professionals and on-call neonatal services.
- Ensure the use of available RT equipment, including vents, CPAP, and BiPap.
- Implement and maintain the use of Cerner charting and Philips monitor systems.
- Enforce business casual dress code and compliance with unit-specific orientation.
