Responsibilities include:
Customer Service, Team working Quality Improvement
  • Interacts with residents, families, staff, and other visitors in a pleasant, respectful, and courteous manner.
  • Acts as a positive representative of community at au times.
  • Assists in organizing groups of residents for each scheduled activity.
  • Responsible for picking up and delivering residents to routed stops. Assists residents in and out of vehicles.
  • Operates vehicles in a safe and clean fashion.
  • May assist Activity Director with in-house activities including planning and organizing, arranging furniture, decorating and
  • the general set up for activity programs.
  • Complies with Federal and State regulations relative to resident rights issues and quality of life issues.
Customer Service, Team working Quality Improvement, continued
  • Ensures that residents are free from abuse (physical verbal and sexual), mistreatment and neglect. Reports any such instance to the Executive Director.
In Service Education
  • Attends all in-service education programs mandated by CSL, State or Federal guidelines which includes necessary
  • testing for renewal and maintenance of CDL license endorsement.
Risk Management, Safety and infection Control
  • Knowledgeable of Rules of the Road issues mandated by Corporate, State, and Federal Guidelines.
  • Reports all accidents/incidents and hazardous conditions/equipment, as established by department policies as well as
  • local authorities.
  • Examines and analyzes with the Executive Director any accidents/crashes to determine future avoid ability.
  • Disposes of waste in accordance with established policies.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of emergency policies and procedures.
  • Follows established guidelines when using equipment, supplies and chemicals
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required. Minimum of one-year successful experience
  • operating a bus is required. Prior experience working with seniors preferred.
  • As required by law, has a valid driver's license. CDL endorsement preferred and required where necessary.
