Job Description
We are looking for a construction highway technician to assist in duties such as installing roadway/highway signs (Green signs in Florida) throughout the greater Jacksonville area. You will gain daily experience installing guardrails along with signs, handrails, and crash cushions (attenuators) for DOT projects on NOFLO active highways/roads. This role requires a minimum of 1+ years' experience working as a highway sign installer (Commercial/DOT experience is preferred). For quicker response email resume to ( )
Hard Skills

• Creating and installing roadway signs, including traffic signs, on highways, bridges, and bicycle paths
• Repairing, removing, and replacing signs, including electrical components for nighttime visibility
• Marking pavements on highways
• Preparing signs for mounting
• Safely loading and transporting signs, tools, hardware, and materials to the installation site
• Following blueprints, schematics, construction drawings, and installation and placement processes
• Following strict safety protocols and regulations for sign placement and installation

Soft Skills

• Communicating with clients and project managers to ensure installations meet their expectations

Job Type
This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.
Work Environment
Monday - Friday (7am - 5pm) OR (7pm - 1am). DOT only allows GC's & Subs to work specific hours due to traffic regulation - Contractors must have availability to work days and nights.
