Applications are being accepted for part time Bus Drivers with possible opportunities for full time employment. The driver of a school vehicle is charged with the responsibility of safely transporting students to and from their designated pick-up points and assigned attendance areas. The vehicle must be operated in accordance with the laws of the state and the policies, regulations, and procedures established by the school district. The driver must successfully complete the district's school bus driver training program and maintain both the required license and a good driving record. The driver is responsible for the students' safety anytime they are being transported. Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veterans preference.
