AVP Strategic Business Development
Location: Atlanta, Georgia

The AVP Business Development & Managed Care will drive company development, expansion, and diversification of profitable national and regional contracted business solutions within the acute and post-acute care continuum for home health services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Abides by and demonstrates the company Mission, Vision, and Values through both behavior and job.
  2. Researches organizations to identify new leads and potential new markets.
  3. Collaborates with company clinical, operations, and sales leadership to define target accounts.
  4. Stays abreast of healthcare industry trends, changes, and opportunities.
  5. Prepares and delivers C-suite and executive-level presentations.
  6. Develops contract proposals and obtains all necessary operations, legal, and compliance approvals.
  7. Maintains sales activities documentation in CRM as required.
  8. Responds to business planning and sales reporting requirements as necessary.
  9. Implements appropriate sales structure and prioritizes key customer targets in accordance with the sales plan.
  10. Gathers/organizes information on targeted accounts for use in proposal/contract pricing.
  11. Drives pull-through activity with the company at the field level for contracted entities.
  12. Develops marketing plans to identify profitable prospects for managed care contracts.
  13. Directs the review of existing contracts to determine opportunities to expand/renew contracts.
  14. Directs the collection and analysis of marketing intelligence to assess prospective accounts.
  15. Assists in development and implementation of Post Acute/Managed Care programs/partnerships/services.

Required Experience/Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, a health-related science (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, etc.) or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of five years of healthcare and related industry sales experience, including three years in a supervisory role.
  3. Thorough knowledge of sales/marketing techniques, pricing/analyses, and product differentiation techniques.
  4. Extensive experience in consultative sales to senior management of large post-acute organizations.
  5. Expertise and knowledge of managed care and post-acute care industry is a must.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, communication skills, and computer literacy.
  7. Ability to travel within assigned territory and to sales meetings as required (up to 50%).
  8. This role requires full COVID-19 vaccination.
