CDL School Bus Driver with Passenger S and P Endorsement
25 Hour per week guarantee

Essential Functions: This person will play an important part in the work that we do each day. In addition to all other duties as assigned, this role will:
• Safely and effectively operate a school bus or van on assigned school or trip-related routes.
• Follow and help enforce all city, state, and federal regulations around vehicle operations and the transport of students, members, or participants.
• Attend all training and in-services around safety, vehicle operations, and staffing.
• Serve as a mandated reporter within our transportation operations.
• Ensure the safety of youth on the bus in conjunction with the bus monitor(s) assigned to their vehicles.
• This list of responsibilities is not meant to be all-inclusive and may be adjusted to meet the operational needs.
Qualifications:
• CDL A or B license with an "S" Endorsement • Must remain in good standing and meet all training, physical, and federal requirements as conditions of employment
• 7D license accepted if working towards CDL • AED, CPR, and First Aid certified within 60 days of employment
• At least 2 years of experience in driving School Buses or licensed vans • Have a satisfactory driving record and demonstrate defensive driving skills.
• High School, GED, or similar certification/experience • Additional years of professional experience or a Rank of E-5 or better may be used in lieu of education requirements where permitted.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a staff member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is regularly required to:
• Sit, stand, or reach for extended periods of time.
• Move around the work environment independently.
• Communicate via computer, multi-line phone, and smart phone.
• Push, pull, or lift to 25 pounds for short periods of time. The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate but may vary based on a number of external factors.
