What is PACE North? PACE stands for P rogram of A ll Inclusive C are for the E lderly. We are new and unique option for individuals 55 and older who qualify for nursing facility level of care and wish to remain in their homes as they age. What does that mean? We care for the elderly at our day center on Garfield near Hammond during regular business hours and as needed in their home. If you've never heard of us before, that's okay since we're new to the region. PACE North began serving the 7 county region's elderly in 2019 and our service model is so popular it's growing quickly!

What does a driver at PACE North do? Our drivers are PACE North's purpose-driven community ambassadors! You perform one of PACE North's greatest community services, daily participant transportation. You'll drive one of our buses or vans to pick up and drop off our participants each day. You'll also drive people to health care appointments and take them to do fun activities, such as shopping, visiting a museum, or fishing! Our driving heroes assist people on and off the vehicle, and even into their homes. You care for the buses, ensuring they are clean, fully fueled, and ready for the next day's ride. Most importantly, you are the first and last point of contact for our participants each day and have a big impact on the success of their day!
Requirements
What qualifications should you bring to the table? We are looking for that special person whose purpose in life is serving others with a positive approach and enjoys being around people. We'd appreciate at least 6 months working with aging adults and a valid Michigan Chauffeur's license with a clean driving record. We'd prefer previous driving experience but are glad to train if you're the right person!
