Paratransit, Inc. is now accepting applications for Paratransit Bus Driver/Vehicle Operators to operate Paratransit buses safely and efficiently in the door-to-door transport of passengers to scheduled sites; to assist passengers on and off assigned vehicle; to assure the safety of passengers while riding in assigned vehicles; and to maintain accurate records and logs of trip information as required. The schedule for this position is between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with weekends and 10 paid holidays off and 10 paid vacation days off per year (After you complete probation).
The minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Valid California Driver License
- 1 year experience working as a professional driver (such as bus, delivery driver or Uber) or experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 points)
- At least 21 years of age for insurability
- Must have all 3 of the following items on the first day of employment, copies not allowed : 1. Government issued item verifying date verification, such as : Certified Birth Certificate, Permanente Resident Card, Passport or Certificate of Naturalization 2. Social security card 3. California Driver's license on first day of employment. (Required by the DMV)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana)
- Must be able to work a full-time schedule 5 days a week Monday through Friday 10 hour shifts, between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Salary and Benefits:
Wages and benefits: Starting pay is $16.99, increases to $17.50 on 1/1/25

Employees hired will receive a $1000.00 bonus after they are released from training and assigned a route. Additional $500.00 sign on bonus if you are already licensed to drive a bus with 16+ passengers ( to be paid after training is completed). *sign on bonus program effective as of March 18, 2024 training class. *restrictions apply
