**Job Description:**
- 9 Labor & Delivery beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 3-bed obstetric emergency department.
- Patient ratios of 1-2.
- Comprehensive unit staffing includes a unit secretary, scrub tech, dedicated nurse anesthetist, midwife in-house 24/7, and an obstetrician-gynecologist on call.
- Use of CPN and Meditech documentation systems.
- Scheduling requires 4 weekend shifts per month.
- Ability to float to mother/baby or outside department tasks if needed.
- Maintain patient experience scores above 75%.
- Procedures may include circulating in the operating room, intrauterine pressure catheters, fetal scalp electrode, magnesium sulfate administration, postpartum hemorrhage management (JADA system), and nitrous oxide.
- Advanced skills like Spinning Babies and STABLE are helpful.
- Dress code requires hot pink and black attire; hot pink on top is preferred.
- Supportive laborist team model with 24/7 midwives and dedicated nurse anesthetists and obstetricians on call.
- Personalized birth experiences tailored to patient desires and needs.
- Couplet care in the postpartum unit to keep the newborn bedside and promote breastfeeding with donor milk availability when needed.
- 8-bed level 2 neonatal intensive care unit with a neonatal nurse practitioner dedicated to the unit 24/7.
- Neonatal nurse practitioner available to attend all high-risk deliveries when needed.
