**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Labor & Delivery/Postpartum
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Night, 7 PM - 7 AM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** 2 years minimum; Labor & Delivery experience preferred
**License:** Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice. If in a National License Compact (NLC) state, meet licensure requirements in the home state.
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
**Must-Have:** Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers status according to the American Heart Association, proficiency in English
**Job Description:**
- Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
- Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
- Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in nursing practice.
- Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.
- Seek knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking.
- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
- Contribute to quality nursing practice.
- Evaluate personal and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible.
- Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
- Practice ethically.
- Promote shared governance or facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds for handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Critical thinking and concentration are required.
- Quickly respond to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.

- Scrub Color: Navy blue
- Only one holiday required for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, or New Year's Eve.
